Riyadh Baksh
Biography
Riyadh Baksh is a first-year PhD student in Epidemiology at Brown University, where he intends to focus his research on pharmacoepidemiology. Riyadh graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics. Prior to that, he completed his undergraduate studies at McMaster University, where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical and Bioengineering, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Science with a focus in statistics.
Riyadh joins the department with a diverse background spanning academic, pharmaceutical, and government sectors. His experience includes roles at Columbia University, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and the Government of Canada, where he worked on advanced statistical programming and the analysis of complex healthcare datasets.
Born and raised in Canada with family roots in Guyana, Riyadh is excited for his next chapter in Providence. As a member of the Brown community, he looks forward to balancing rigorous research with simple joys like reading and outdoor walks.
