Department of Epidemiology

Bo Yang is a third-year PhD student in Epidemiology. He received a BS degree in Biological Sciences from Sun Yat-sen University and a ScM degree in Epidemiology from Brown University. His research interests include nutritional epidemiology, cardiometabolic health, and epigenetics. He has conducted multiple research projects and published articles on cardiovascular disease, diabetes, micronutrients, heavy metals, added sugar, and DNA methylation. He hopes to make contributions to the understanding of how nutrition can promote population cardiometabolic health, with the goal of identifying and narrowing health disparities.
