Enver Holder-Hayes
Biography
Enver Hayes is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology. Prior to his arrival at Brown, Enver served as a Health Statistician on the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics. Enver has also held scientific positions with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Tobacco Products and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He received his Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from the Boston University School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts and his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. Enver is seeking training in social epidemiology and is primarily interested in conducting research that examines health disparities and health equity. He is currently working with a team that is leading the evaluation of two federal grants awarded to the Rhode Island Department of Education to support and expand youth mental health services for Rhode Island students in grades Pre-K to 12.
